SAVE KIMBALL FIELD - CALL TO ACTION

SAVE KIMBALL FIELD
CALL TO ACTION
Wednesday, 03/11/2009
6:00pm - 8:00pm

The Neighborhood Parks Council, the Mayor's Office, the Planning Department, and Friends of Kimball Park will be hosting a Western Addition Workshop on Open Space Framework for San Francisco.

Location: Western Addition Branch Library
(1550 Scott Street @ Geary)

Supervisor Ross Mirkarimiʼs legislative aide Vallie Brown (Vallie.Brown@sfgov.org) attended last monthʼs meeting.

In 2005 enough people protested and spoke up against the Rec & Park and City Fieldʼs intent to convert our grass lawn into a synthetic tire waste field, that the project was shelved.

In 2009, much to the surprise of the neighborhood, we now hear that bids and plans are quietly being made to proceed.

ITʼS UP TO US TO PROTECT OUR NEIGHBORHOODS

(civilization requires an informed public / pass this information on)

Time to Spring Forward!

Time to Spring Forward!

Remember to turn your clocks forward 1 hour on Sunday, March 8th @ 2am!

This is also a good time to check your smoke detectors and replace the batteries.
A working smoke detector more than doubles a person's chances of surviving a home fire.
More than 90 percent of homes in the United States have smoke detectors, but one-third are estimated to have dead or missing batteries. Play it safe and take a few minutes to check, repair, and replace the smoke detectors in your home and workplace. Remember – smoke detectors save lives!

*If you notice that the timers for the exterior lights, sprinkler systems, etc. at your CitiScape-managed property need to be adjusted, please give us a call or send us Service Request!
