The Neighborhood Parks Council, the Mayor's Office, the Planning Department, and Friends of Kimball Park will be hosting a Western Addition Workshop on Open Space Framework for San Francisco.

Supervisor Ross Mirkarimiʼs legislative aide Vallie Brown (Vallie.Brown@sfgov.org) attended last monthʼs meeting.

In 2005 enough people protested and spoke up against the Rec & Park and City Fieldʼs intent to convert our grass lawn into a synthetic tire waste field, that the project was shelved.
In 2009, much to the surprise of the neighborhood, we now hear that bids and plans are quietly being made to proceed.
