May Mayhem!

Check out Ed Warren setting up for a foul shot after he was mugged under the basket!

CitiScape was very well represented on Saturday, May 22 at the May Mayhem Basketball Tournament held at UCSF Mission Bay's Bakar Fitness and Recreation Center to benefit charitable organization African American Art & Culture Complex. Great big thanks go out to Coach Kevin Wiley, Coach Robert Simms, Team Captain Ed Warren, with an assist from Michelle Gage-Kelley, who put the team together, and what a team it was (one of our team members, well known in basketball circles - was Cardell "Ballaholic" Butler - here’s a short highlight reel of Cardell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2q2MTzfjzhM)

Our CitiScape team made it to the championship final game, where a 3' high trophy awaited us, but, alas, the crew from Lennar Urban also made it to the final game. We went easy on them and let them win! No, really, they beat us fair and square* (if you count a bonehead referee arguing 5 minutes away while the clock was running when we were behind fair and square!)*.

Great fun, great cause, thanks to everyone who participated especially our outstanding players: Ed Warren, Charles and Victor and ringers Adrian, Cardell (ballaholic), and “Dookie”.
