Crimes of Opportunity

Break-ins, thefts, vandalism and overall desperation is running rampant during this economy and with the current holiday season it's happening even more. Don't fall victim to these crimes of opportunity - please see below for a list of precautionary measures to safeguard you and what's yours.

All owners and residents can assist in safeguarding garages/buildings by doing the following:

*WHEN ENTERING or EXITING YOUR GARAGE or BUILDING always make sure the garage door/front door closes before driving or walking away.
*DON'T LEAVE ANY ITEMS visible in your car.
*DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLE ITEMS in your car.
*MAKE SURE NOTHING IS LEFT in the open in the garage.
*CALL THE POLICE RIGHT AWAY to report a theft - The more calls they receive the more patrols you will have in your neighborhood.
*ASK QUESTIONS - If you do not know who someone is, do not offer them access.
*REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY RIGHT AWAY

PHONE NUMBERS TO CALL:
*SF Police Emergency (life threatening): 911
*SF Police NON-Emergency (non-life threatening): 415-553-0123
*SF Police Burglary Division: 415-553-1351
*The CitiScape 24 hour Emergency Line: 415-487-3697

ADDITIONALLY
May we also suggest that you contact your insurance company to make sure you are properly insured for personal property (as most Homeowner's Associations / Apartment Building's insurance DO NOT COVER owner/tenant personal property).

Have a SAFE & HAPPY holiday season!

Thank you,
